These paddlers choose Portage Store on Canoe Lake in side the provincial park at kilometer 14 from the West Gate entrance. The service from summer student employees is great.

- The park opened in 1976. The current owners are Dan and Laura Jeffries. The management style is conducive to peaceful camping in the absence of overloaded sites and does not permit parties or other disrespectful behaviors.
